Sculptural Bespoke Jewellery Handmade in Devon
I have always been interested in an object’s capacity to hold history, to accumulate meaning, and its connection to ourselves, others, and the world around us. Our personal tapestry of memories. Our personal archive.
Jewellery is often bought to mark meaningful moments in life, to preserve an experience, connection, love. To celebrate life, to remember loved ones. It consist of layers of connections , micro memories and elements that form part of the texture of our everyday life.
Through bespoke commissions, I work closely with clients, listening to their stories and translating mood, colour, and form into sculptural, deeply personal pieces.
Unique and Meaningful Jewellery
Whether it’s a wedding, an engagement, a promise, an anniversary, a personal celebration or the remodelling of a precious heirloom, I’d love to help you mark it with a ring as unique as the occasion itself.
No two waves break alike, each seashell is unique and fingerprints never repeat. Even with all the time in the world to perfect a formula, nature prefers to craft something matched to the moment. As a jeweller, so do I. Together we’ll create a bespoke piece that truly reflects the times, places and relationships you wish to celebrate.
"I love the ring so much. It is beautiful, looking at it makes me so happy. Sometimes I just get lost staring at it." Ana Luisa
"Such an amazing experience. Difficult to put into words how connected this whole experience was." Elaine
How to Commission a Bespoke Ring
The bespoke process is thoughtful and collaborative, allowing us to create something deeply personal and rooted in your story.
Process
The first thing will be to get in touch.
We’ll discuss what you’re looking for your ring’s design to capture, the materials you’d like to use, and sizing (if you know it) - as well as budgets and timelines.
Once that’s decided, I’ll create the piece in my North Devon studio, hand carving from wax (and incorporating gemstones if desired). It will then be cast in a metal of your choosing.
Sustainable Gemstones and Gold
I work with ethical metals and gemstones and will advise on sourcing these and their cost. I also have a selection of gemstones in a variety of the colours in my studio you can incorporate with the bespoke ring design.
Taking Inspiration
You could take inspiration from my other rings, blending design ideas to create something new. Or you might have a special keepsake you want to incorporate - bark from a particular tree, or a special stone we can use to imprint into the bespoke design. Browse my jewellery collection to see examples that might spark your imagination.
Pricing
As a guide, here are some typical price ranges:
- Bespoke wedding & eternity rings in 9ct yellow gold: £450 - £2000 depending on size and weight.
- Wedding rings in silver: from around £200
- 9ct Gold bespoke engagement rings, cocktail rings, and more complex rings with gemstones start at £1500
Handcrafted Ring Lead Times
Typically, the entire process of handcrafting a bespoke ring takes 4-12 weeks, depending on the design. If you have a particular date in mind, please let me know.
How Do Rings Come into Being?
"My jewellery is always full of textures, visible marks of creation. Made by hand using hand tools, the action of making the ring remains visible. It is a slow process of careful consideration.
I think of my work as sculptural exploration, deeply rooted in landscape: seascapes, rocks, waves, edges, spaces in between.
I use traditional carving and casting techniques in combination with in-place casting of precious stones. Each piece is one of a kind and has the tactile quality of a handmade object. This process is all about creating organic, sculptural pieces of jewellery. It is a creative process of discovery"
-
Unique, naturally.
You’ll never see the same wave break twice. Each unfurls its own way - a fleeting part of something timeless. Likewise, every bespoke ring I produce is one of a kind.
-
Made to be remembered.
We can use keepsakes from precious places (like shells, stone and bark) to help shape your design - so the moments that made an impression on you can do the same for your ring.
-
Exclusively ethical.
An object’s beauty depends on its place in the world. Using only ethical metals and sustainable gemstones, my rings honour the earth in more than just design.
-
A process as precious as the product.
Creation is a joy, and joys should be shared. Working with me you’ll realise your bespoke vision, not so much as a customer but as a collaborator.
Bespoke Stories
Matthew’s Sand Sprinkled Engagement Ring
A bespoke, handcrafted engagement ring featuring ethically sourced rose-cut diamond at its heart. The central stone is surrounded by organic textures, gently sprinkled with sand lovingly gathered by Matthew, the future husband, from a Cornish beach that holds special meaning. Scattered throughout are sparkling blue sapphires and diamonds, a subtle reference to the couple’s love of the coastline, the ocean, and wild swimming.
This ring is truly unique — a beautiful symbol of love, thoughtfully designed and absolutely one of a kind. The best kind of engagement ring: meaningful, personal, and rooted in the couple’s shared story.
Dartmoor Earth & Ancestral Gold: Jacob & Lott’s Rings
Jacob and Lott visited my studio to commission a set of rings: two gold Wave wedding bands and a sculptural Molecule Ring as Lott’s one-of-a-kind bespoke handcrafted artisan engagement ring. They wanted to create one-of-a-kind rings that celebrate their story and commitment. Together, we explored different options and chose a gemstone palette inspired by Dartmoor, reflecting their love of nature. Cast in their heirloom gold, the resulting rings are deeply personal.
Heirloom Remodelling: Elaine’s Grandmother’s Rings
Elaine brought with her, her precious grandmother's rings, with an idea of remodelling them into a ring for herself. We sat in my studio, looking at my work, dreaming out the ring she would love. She was visiting with her husband and granddaughter for a few days, so the following day they went out for a walk to collect treasures for me to use in the process of designing the ring. That part felt really important. Because we weren't only working with her grandmother's rings but we were also bringing in Elaine's own story. Her time with her family. Shared moments. Collecting shells, stones… being together. A connection across generations. Past and present meeting in one object. Something to carry forward. "I will have my Nana with me all of the time."
A Surprise Wedding Anniversary Ring
A bespoke sculptural ring commissioned by Maciej for his wife Agata as a wedding anniversary gift. A cluster of Agata’s favourite Sri Lankan blue sapphires is nestled among tiny shells. Textures of shells, stones, and bark, sprinkled with grains of sand, capture nature’s raw beauty in an organic, tactile ring celebrating love, shared memories, and lasting connection.
A Gift to Herself: Jo’s Sculptural Peppercombe Rings
Created as a personal commission, Jo’s rings explore texture and form. The Peppercombe Ring evokes the raw surfaces of coastal rocks, while the second, sculptural Sand Forms ring is set with Jo’s favourite moonstones. Gifted to herself, this pair of chunky, contemporary silver rings celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and quiet self-expression.
