I was delighted to be featured in WED Magazine in their Jewellery – Modern Heirlooms editorial. It's always an honour to see my work alongside so many talented jewellers, and I'm incredibly grateful to the team for including my jewellery in this beautiful issue.

WILD IMPRESSIONS

North Devon artist and jeweller Ania Wawrzkowicz channels her fine art training into sculptural designs that capture the raw beauty of the natural world. As co-founder of Praktyka, a creative retreat where she shares her craft, Ania's practice is shaped as much by contemporary art as by the landscapes around her.

Her jewellery takes its cues from geology and the wild coast – from dramatic rock formations to the tiniest natural details. Each piece is a study in texture, form and curve, elevated by uneven sculptural qualities, intricate shapes and detailed surface finishes.

"I love the idea of a ring as an imprint of nature," Ania explains. "A tangible memory of a landscape and connection to the wild coast. It's about the love of tiny details, little treasures and discoveries."

Handcrafted using traditional carving and casting techniques, Ania also incorporates in-place casting of precious stones, ensuring every jewel is one of a kind. The result is jewellery with a uniquely tactile quality, rich with the character of a handmade object.

"It's the obsessive collector in me," she adds, "that wanted to somehow make all those found beach treasures wearable."

From sapphire-dotted engagement rings inspired by coastal sunsets to wedding bands echoing the shades and shapes of natural wonders, Ania's pieces reimagine nature's effortless structures in precious form—sculptural keepsakes that hold the spirit of the coast and the poetry of place.

Thank you to the wonderful team at WED Magazine for featuring my work.
